Kwandiwe Kondlo
Non-Executive Chairman

Kwandiwe Kondlo, is an independent non-executive Chairperson of the NIC. He also sits in the publications board of the South African Association

of Public Administration and Management, and also in the editorial board of Africa Insight. He is currently a research Professor and

Director of the Center for Africa Studies at the University of the Free State. He is a guest Professor at the following Universities: Basel University

(Switzerland), Wits University and Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University business school. He has held research fellowships at UCT

and Oxford University (UK)- the latter assisted him to publish his first book (widely circulated in Europe and America) titled ‘In the Twilight of

the Revolution’. He has authored and edited several other books including: ‘Zuma Administration – Critical Challenges’ published in 2010 and

the latest one on print, is titled ‘Investing in Thought Leaders for Africa’s Renewal’. He has appeared on numerous programs on television,

radio, newspapers and magazines. Prof Kondlo holds a D. Litt et. Phil (PhD) from the University of Johannesburg. His Masters and junior degrees

were obtained from UCT.
